I miss eating Attieke (cassava couscous) on the street in Abidjan with fried fish, grilled vegetables, olive oil, and cube maggi spices. I have not seen any African food vendors in Cape Town really, I wonder what neighborhoods they are in? Maybe just in the townships?
Its odd to have to look for indicators of African culture/norms here in Cape Town, this is a different kind of Africa than I am from, but it is only week two, I know there is so much for me to see and explore.
Anywho, the pictures I took were from a little village in Abidjan where the women make attieke everyday, its right on the water of the lagoon the separates the two parts of the city, its really magical and the women are true entrepreneurs.
